Gospel School is our ministry designed to make disciples by formally training our congregants in key components of theology. We are offering a wide range of classes and most of them are open enrollment, only one class is restricted to women. All classes begin the week of October 7th and occur weekly. You can scroll down to learn specific details for each class being offer. Registration is required and closes on September 30th. If you have any questions, feel free to email life@missiodei.org.
Political Theology
In this time of intense partisanship, Christians find themselves pulled in many directions. Whether they easily align with one party or experience a kind of political homelessness, today's believers have to wrestle with their political identity in new and confusing ways. The Bible calls us sojourners and citizens of an upside-down Kingdom. But how does that identity intersect with our earthly citizenship? How do we speak the truth in love to the most heated and complex issues of our public life? This course will give a theological and historical grounding to help believers move into the public square as confident ambassadors of King Jesus.

Worthy: Celebrating the Worth of Women
How can we claim that God loves, values, and honors women when it seems as though women have been treated as a temptation to be avoided, a voice to be silenced, or a rebel to be subdued? We need to affirm the positive stories and contributions of women-not only as wives, mothers, and daughters, but primarily as God's image bearers and speak about women as God does. This class is designed for both men and women and will be co-taught by our lead pastor and one of our women's ministry directors.

Women of the word
As we go through Jen Wilkin's book, "Women of the Word" we will learn how to study the Bible with our whole minds and hearts. We will also learn how to study the bible on a personal and practical level and grow in our skills and confidence of leading others in this endeavor. This class will be 7 weeks and will be a mixture of teaching, application and discussion in small groups. Liv Hines will be teaching this class and she is very much looking forward to it!

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
The Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Cohort is a plan for discipleship that deeply changes our relationship with God. It does this in two ways:
Addressing directly the reality that emotional maturity and spiritual maturity are inseparable, that it is not possible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.
Equipping people in a personal, firsthand relationship with Jesus by incorporating stillness, silence, and Scripture as daily life rhythms.
