After cancellations of annual traditions last year, we are holding our annual Eve of the Eve - Hymn Sing this year on December 23rd. We would love to have you join us as we wrap up our season of reflection and celebration of the Incarnation of Jesus and the culmination of the Advent season. This is a wonderful time to be present with family and friends, sing your favorite Advent hymns and rejoice for the Savior of the world has been born and is coming again!

Make plans to invite your friends and family to celebrate with us.

LOCATION & Parking

We will be gathering at Vineyard Central. The address is 1759 Mills Ave, Norwood, OH 45212 or you can click here for directions.

There is no formal parking lot, but parking is located on the attached side streets.

Missio Kids Involvement

There are several elements of our gathering that will include our kids. Not only will Pastor Kurt read them a story, but they will also join us to lead the congregation in singing, “Away in a Manger.” If your child(ren) would like to practice at home ahead of time, click here to watch a brief video with the lyrics. Additionally, we would like to have them join us for a rehearsal on December 22nd at 7:00pm at Vineyard Central.

THINGs to consider

  • We recommend that you arrive early to find parking since it is all street parking.

  • Similar to 2019, there will be an invitation for all children to come up to the front and join Pastor Kurt in the reading of “This is the Christmas Story”.

  • We will be closing out the gathering with a candle-lit song involving the use of real candles. Each candle will have protective guards to prevent wax from dripping on your hands, but we wanted to communicate in advance in case you don’t want your children to have their “own” candle and need time to prepare and explain.

  • Restrooms are neither handicap accessible nor conveniently located. We will have signs pointing the way, but we recommend using them at the beginning or the end of our gathering time

  • We will need some assistance in putting away some of the chairs upon completion of the gathering time and we will close out the evening with a time of fellowship with hot chocolate and Christmas cookies. We invite you to bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share! We will provide the hot chocolate.
