Getting Started

  • How do you think God demonstrates blessing's on people?

Community Discussion

  • We learned about multiple false gospels that we embrace including; the prosperity gospel, the poverty gospel, the social gospel, and the assumed gospel. In what ways have we embraced false gospels? How has our embracing of these false gospels hindered the true gospel's effect on our lives and the way we do mission in our neighborhoods?
  • Because of Jesus' resurrection, we are empowered to produce faithful fruit. We learned that we should do this by rooting ourselves in good soil, we should be weeding out the things that choke our connection to Jesus and our ability to grow, responding in faith to God's pruning in our lives, and by patiently waiting for the harvest. As a community how are we making space for these things in our lives and in our community? In what ways could we improve on these things to provide a more nurturing environment within our community?
  • The leaves on the fig tree led Jesus to believe there would be fruit, there was none and the activity in the temple led many to believe there was spiritual fruit, there was none. In what ways is our community faithful and fruitful? In what ways are we functioning similarly to the temple in that, our activity is absent of fruit?
