Embodying Victory | Dec. 18, 2016

Getting Started

  • People typically respond to adversity by fleeing or fighting. Where do we see people fighting to overcome adversity? Where do we see people overwhelmed by the demands of adversity?
  • What motivates people to engage in fighting to overcome adversity? What hinders people from walking in victory?

Sermon Recap

Community Discussion

  •  How does the victory of Jesus affect our identity? How does where we draw our identity from affect the way we participate in community? How are we nurturing a strong identity in Christ together? What are some ways we can nurture a strong identity in Christ together in community?
  • The victory of Jesus should be celebrated with thanksgiving. In what ways are we encouraging each other to live lives of thanksgiving? What hinders us from being thankful people?
  • Thanksgiving should spill over into sacrifice for others. How are we sacrificing for the unbelieving people around us? How are the sacrifices we are making pointing unbelieving people to Jesus?

Further Discussion
